Alex Lewandrowski
Meet Party Gambit's Chair
Meet our Party Chair, Alex Lewandrowski (He/him). He’s always been enthusiastic about exploring new cultures and expanding his understanding of the world. With both Latin American and European roots, Alex grew up speaking Spanish and German. He spent a year living in Austria at a young age, and continues to travel in order to better comprehend the world beyond Arizona. Since the beginning of high school, Alex has been deeply involved in countless leadership positions among school clubs and extracurriculars. He’s held positions that include class rep, secretary, treasurer, vice-chair, etc., but behind all the titles, he discovered an underlying love for helping others. His compassionate and organized nature, in part, stems from Assisteens, an auxiliary of the Assistance League of America. During his time at Assisteens, Alex has managed several volunteering projects, One of which was a fashion show that raised ~ $20,000 for local school grants. When not handling schoolwork or volunteer responsibilities, Alex turns to his love of nature, as he often spends time outside through cycling, hiking, tennis, or photography. The combination of Alex’s love of helping others, his awe of culture and nature, as well as his knack for organization, forges him into the ideal Chair for Party Gambit.

Emma LeRoy
Meet Party Gambit's President
Meet our president, Emma LeRoy (She/her). Emma was born in the Netherlands as a British citizen, and she has spent a large part of her life traveling, having been to over 30 countries. It is rare to spot her without a book in hand and a caffeinated beverage nearby. She has been involved in the UHS community throughout her time in high school as both a Big Penguin and a member of Site Council. Her passion for giving back also extends into the Tucson community, where she has volunteered at Saguaro National Park in environmental education for several years. Emma is known to question everything. She has a passion for logical, yet creative solutions, exemplified by her work researching in a U of A geoinformatics lab. She will bring this inquisitive problem-solving to Party Gambit, having the political foresight to make determined moves towards cooperation.

Aiko values engagement with her community and the voices inside of it, making her the perfect choice for leading and uniting a political party. With her experience in policy research on waste management systems, Aiko is excited to propose sustainable economic policies to improve society with Party Gambit.

Sidny Becerra
Meet Party Gambit's Domestic Chair
Meet our domestic chair, Sidny Becerra (Her/she). Having been raised in an immigrant household, she is able to appreciate all the opportunities found here in the United States from a different perspective. She loves to read, in 2020, having read over 100 books. From a young age, she has found peace and happiness through books and their ability to give insight into how others live. Raised to make the most of every chance she gets, Sidny skipped a grade in middle school (which means she is currently the same age as the junior class). When she’s not working at eegee’s, doing homework, at cross country and track practice, or reading, you can find her spending time with her family and friends! She is always pushing herself to help others, and she is passionate about finding ways to be involved in the community. This work extends from volunteering at the Pima County Book Fair to contributions she has made at her church. Sidny has always understood the societal responsibility to educate yourself on the workings of the government, and hopes to encourage others to do the same.

Elijah Daniel
Meet Party Gambit's Foreign Chair
Meet our Foreign Chair, Elijah Daniel (He/him). Elijah arrived in the United States at the age of 6. Coming from a mixed background of Korean, Norwegian, and Swahili immigrants, he has always approached situations from a place of understanding. Throughout his school career, Elijah has shown compassion for caring for others. When he is not in band or winter guard, Elijah volunteers at Asterion Acres, a group home for the elderly. Elijah values making connections with others no matter how different they may seem.
